BIO

Fabrizio Russo, stage name Dj Faxbeat, is a music producer, rapper and singer-songwriter born in Asti. His sound is very distinctive and immediately recognizable and incorporates elements of electronic music, R&B, Funk, Afro.

In 2001 he was a DJ on some dates of the then DDP (a group known in the Italian rap scene) and produced together with the group the first single, "Selvaggi" released by the Blocco Recordz label, which features the then little-known Ale Cattelan in a part of the video.

He is passionate about production, mixing and mastering.

In 2005 he created the One Night "The Flow! Hip-Hop r'n'b night" and livens up the evenings of the clubs in his city playing together with guests such as BigFish, Esa and many others.

In 2009 he recorded "Origine di Futuro", an album of 17 songs that features some emerging artists from his hometown.

In 2012 he recorded the single "Per Ora" with Tormento.

In 2013 he opened live for artists of the caliber of Club Dogo, J-Ax, General Levy, Onyx…Etc..

From 2014 to today he invented a new musical genre, the E.S.M, acronym for Electronic Scratch Music, a genre in which he plays the turntable as a musical instrument.

In 2015 he won the award for Best DJ 2015 from the WSSA.

Together with Davide Calabrese and Beppe Di Filippo he formed the group UNTZ of which he is still a DJ and scratcher performer.

In 2016 he released “Body”, the experimental album of scratches and instrumentals totally produced and played by Dj Faxbeat (with some collaborations) in which he uses the turntable as a voice on the beats. He plays in clubs until 2019 when he stops in the studio for a personal musical research until 2024. On March 8, 2024 he decides to come out with his single "Secondo Me", under the name of Dj Faxbeat. The second single to be released is "Me ne frego" published on June 21, 2024. It comes out on March 21, 2025 with PA'L CHUPE.
